Even after the second edition of the Dachsteinlauf, which was redesigned last year, we can draw a very satisfactory balance: The unique major event for Nordic athletes attracted more than 750 participants from all over the world to Ramsau at the weekend. Once again, there was plenty of sporting action in various disciplines on the program, including a 40-kilometer run across the entire Ramsau plateau, a team competition in skating, children's races and a culinary pleasure run.
Participants from 22 nations and of all ages at the start
The athletes came to the Styrian tourist region from 22 nations, including Norway, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain and Australia, and of course provided many overnight stays here with their supervisors and families. An analysis of the list of participants also shows that practically all age groups were represented in Ramsau. In addition to many children in the Kids Race, young athletes in the skating and classic competitions, there were even a few participants aged over 70 at the start.
We would like to thank all participants for taking part in the Dachstein Run 2025 - you have once again made the event unforgettable.
In 2025 there will again be an App Run in the Schladming-Dachstein Adventure Region. Like last year, two virtual challenges will be offered this year.
