The Pension Marthaler is the parental home of Andreas. His father Franz converted the mountain farm into a small guesthouse, which he runs with Andreas' aunt Maria. When the spotlights are off, the Pension Marthaler turns back into the Gruberhof and the adjacent Gruberstube. The TV series is mainly being shot inside the Gruberstube.

The Gruberhof was first mentioned in documents from the 15^th Century and the farm is still in operation today. Since 1971, there has also been a snack bar inside the Gruberhof, the Gruberstube.
