The tour

A possible starting point is the valley station of the Planai gondola. From Schladming, the route leads through Birnberg to Ramsau. From Ramsau, it continues via Gasthof Edelbrunn to Brandalm, where an e-bike charging station is available. From Brandalm, the trail winds through the idyllic alpine pastures towards Bachlalm. After Bachlalm, the first longer descent begins, leading to Filzmoos and then to the Grahsteg reservoir. The route continues to Mandlberggut before heading back to Schladming via Mandling and along the Ennsradweg.

Highlights Along the Route:

  • Scenic Views: The trail offers stunning panoramic views of the Schladminger Tauern and the majestic Dachstein.
  • Dachstein Glacier Cable Car: A detour to the Dachstein Glacier Cable Car is highly recommended to experience the spectacular glacier world up close (advance reservations for the gondola are required).
