Türlwand-Hochwurzen Road Bike Loop

The return route leads through Ramsau Vorberg to Pichl, passing the picturesque Pichl Lake. The Preuneggstraße begins with a steep ascent, followed by a wooden bridge crossing and the path heading toward Rohrmoos. The route then passes through Rohrmoos, by the Tauernalm restaurant, and descends into Schladming. From there, the route continues through Untere Klaus and Lehen, ultimately returning to the Hauser Kaibling valley station.

The tour begins at the Hauser Kaibling valley station, passing under the main road and following Weißenbachstraße to Weißenbach bei Haus. After 1.5 km, you’ll reach the village center and turn left after the Weißenbach Bridge. The route continues uphill through Birnberg and Ramsau-Rössing to Ramsau Ort.
From Walcherhof, you follow an access road to Dachsteinstraße. Over 5 steep kilometers of switchbacks, you’ll reach the highest point of the tour: the valley station of the Dachstein Cable Car.
The return route follows the Ramsauer Landesstraße through Vorberg to Pichl. After passing under the Ennstal main road, the route leads past Pichl Lake to the Preuneggstraße. Before the toll station on Ursprungstraße, turn toward Rohrmoos and follow the trail to the Tauernalm restaurant. Descend via switchbacks into Schladming and return to the starting point via Untere Klaus and the Lehen district.
From Salzburg:
Take the A10 Tauern Motorway towards Villach and exit at Altenmarkt (Exit 63). Continue on the B320 Ennstal Road towards Liezen. Take the exit for Haus im Ennstal and follow the signs to the Hauser Kaibling valley station.
From Graz:
Take the A9 Pyhrn Motorway towards Linz and exit at Liezen. Follow the B320 Ennstal Road towards Schladming. Take the exit for Haus im Ennstal and follow the signs to the Hauser Kaibling valley station.
At Schladming train station, take bus line 900 towards Stainach-Irdning. Get off at the "Haus im Ennstal Kaiblingbahn Talstation" stop. The bus stop is located directly in front of the Hauser Kaibling valley station.
Parking is readily available at the Hauser Kaibling valley station.

- Stick to designated and marked trails only.
- Pay attention to traffic at intersections and road crossings! Be considerate and give way when necessary.
- Control your speed on downhill sections!
- Respect the environment—leave no trash or waste in the mountains.

The Right Bike: a road bike or gravel bike is recommended.
Breakdowns can happen - but rarely at the doorstep of one of the numerous service points: a basic kit of tools and accessories therefore never hurts! Spare inner tube and/or repair kit, universal spanner, air pump, brake and shift cable, as well as a screwdriver can never hurt.
