The tour

The loop starts at the Hauser Kaibling valley station and leads through Weißenbach to Aich. From there, it continues via Assach and the Assacher Scharte to the Stoderstraße, which ascends to the Gröbminger Alm.

The route then descends through Winkl to Gröbming and on to Moosheim, where you follow the Enns River towards Pruggern.

Passing through Pruggern and the Assach fields, the trail climbs through Auberg to Pruggererberg. Along the way, it passes the mountain village of Pruggern and the scenic Pirklalm. After Maierlhof, the trail leads into the right-hand Seewigtal, passing the Seewigtalstüberl and continuing via Petersberg and Maierlalm to Hotel Höflehner.

The final kilometers take you over Gumpenberg and Ruperting to Ennsling, before completing the loop back at the Hauser Kaibling valley station.

Turn-by-turn directions

The route then descends through Winkl to Gröbming and onward to Moosheim. Before crossing the Enns bridge, turn left to follow the Enns River towards the village of Pruggern. Passing through Pruggern and the Assach fields, the route climbs through Auberg to Pruggererberg, passing the mountain village of Pruggern and the scenic Pirklalm.

After Maierlhof, the trail leads into the right-hand Seewigtal, passing the Seewigtalstüberl and continuing via Petersberg and Maierlalm to Hotel Höflehner.

The final kilometers take you over Gumpenberg and Ruperting to Ennsling, before finishing the loop back at the Hauser Kaibling valley station.

Getting there
From Salzburg: Follow the A10 to Altenmarkt. There, take the B320 and continue towards Liezen. Leave the road at the exit "Hauser Kaibling".

From Graz: Follow the A9 to Liezen. There, take the B320 and continue in the direction of Schladming. Leave the road at the exit "Hauser Kaibling".

The right bike: mountain bike or gravel bike with studded tyres, racing bikes are not recommended.

Breakdowns can happen - but rarely at the doorstep of one of the numerous service points: a basic kit of tools and accessories therefore never hurts! Spare inner tube and/or repair kit, universal spanner, air pump, brake and shift cable, as well as a screwdriver can never hurt.
